5B Mercury Filled Case Compensated Thermal Systems
For ranges over 500°F mercury is used in an all stainless steel, welded system with direct drive coil, responding to the slightest change sensed in the bulb. This provides the most accurate temperature reading possible. Limitations include Remote Capillary lengths up to 50 feet, provided the ambient temperature changes along the capillary will not exceed ± 15°F. Rigid Mount Thermometers have Stainless Steel stems limited to 10 feet.
51-5 Style Bulb
The 51-5 Style bulb is a mercury actuated, plain stainless steel bulb. Standard length is 6 inches, and can be ordered in 6 inch increments up to a total maximum length of 10 feet (120 inches). Uses stainless steel flexible armored capillary. The connection is a drop-in or hanging style.
51-11 Style Bulb
The 51-11 Style bulb is a mercury actuated, plain stainless steel bulb with bendable stiff capillary. Standard length is 6 inches. Connections is an adjustable union compression fitting; specify compression fitting thread size: 1/2 inch NPT, 3/4 inch NPT, or 1 inch NPT.
51-12 Style Bulb
The 51-12 Style Bulb is a mercury actuated, plain stainless steel bulb with bendable stiff capillary. The design is used to measure air and liquid temperatures. Standard length is 6 inches. Connection is a 1-1/4 inch -18 Swivel Nut Fitting. This model can be used with a Union or Union Flange.
51-13 Style Bulb
The 51-13 Style Bulb is a plain, tapered stainless steel bulb. Standard bulb lengths are 3.5 inches, 6 inches, 8 inches, and 12 inches. Bulbs are available in increments of 6 inches up to 10 feet (120 inches). Connection is a 1-1/4 inch -18 Swivel Nut Fitting. This model is used with our 114 series thermowells or fittings.
51-29 Style Bulb
The 51-29 Style Bulb is a plain stainless steel bulb designed for measuring air temperatures. This design features removable rings for suspending the bulb in an air stream. Standard length is 12 inches. Connection is a 5/8 inch coupling. Hanging rings included.
51-30 Style Bulb
The 51-30 Style Bulb is a plain stainless steel bulb designed for measuring air temperatures. Standard length is 12 inches and connection is a 1-1/4 inch -18 Swivel Nut Fitting. This model can be used with 114 series union fittings.
