Temperature bulbs for temperature chart recorders are available in the different configurations shown below.
Note: All mercury filled systems conform to ASME 5B. Non-mercury systems conform to 1A with capillary over 30 feet and 1B with capillary under 30 feet. Mercury and Non-Toxic filled systems are constructed of 304 stainless steel and have a maximum capillary length of 25 feet; Hydrocarbon filled systems are constructed of 316 stainless steel and have a maximum capillary length of 99 feet. Bendable stiff armor is optional for Mercury filled systems only.
45-5: Available with Mercury or Non-Toxic fill. Plain bulb in 304 Stainless Steel. Standard Capillary is 1/4 inch diameter flex armor,
3/16 inch diameter, with a standard length for recorders of 5 feet (10 feet standard for Differential Pressure Recorders). Specify if a different capillary length is required. Designed to be dropped into a tank or bin and hung from the capillary. Bulb length is 6 inches.

Use with our 115 series of thermowells and union hubs. Standard bulb length is 6 inches; 4 inch, 8 inch, and 12 inch bulb lengths are available. Flex armor capillary is 3/16 inch diameter, with a standard length for recorders of 5 feet (10 feet standard for Differential Pressure Recorders). Specify if a different capillary length is required. 7/8 inch -22 Swivel nut connection.
45-14: Available with Mercury or Non-Toxic fill. Designed to be inserted into a thermowell (closed receptacle) in the process, or through a union hub (open end), directly into the process - or use the 1/2 inch NPT (or 3/4 inch) NPT probe sliding compression fitting to install directly into the process. User must specify desired sliding compression fitting when ordering. Choose bulb diameter of 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch. Use with our 112 series of thermowells and union hubs. Standard overall length is 15-1/2 inches. Flex armor capillary is 3/16 inch diameter, with a standard length for recorders of 5 feet (10 feet standard for Differential Pressure Recorders). Specify if a different capillary length is required.
45-29: Available with Mercury or Non-Toxic fill. 12 inch stainless steel bulb. Designed to be hung by two mounting rings for air temperature measurement. For best results, bulb should be mounted in the center of the flow. 5/8 inch diameter stainless steel coupling. Choose bulb diameter of 5/16 inch (Mercury or Non-Toxic fill) or 3/8 inch (Mercury fill only).
